Job summary

Jobtailor in Torrance, California is seeking a qualified engineer to lead procurement and tracking of system hardware for development and qualification testing campaigns. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline such as science, technology, engineering, or mathematics.
• 2 years of related engineering experience; post-graduate education can substitute for work experience.
• Ability to drive small teams of 1–3 subject matter experts to execute technical engineering tasks.
• Proven track record delivering complex engineering projects on time and within budget.
• Strong leadership and project management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent organization and attention to detail.
• 2 years of systems or project engineering experience in the aerospace industry valued.
• Experience with procurement or other supply chain functions valued.
• Experience with supply chain, hardware management, environmental control systems, vapor cycle systems, air cycle systems, thermal management systems, fuel tank inerting systems, system architecture, turbomachines, heat exchangers, power electronics, or controls valued.
• Project management experience, particularly Earned Value Management and Integrated Master Schedules.
• Test experience developing test plans, writing test procedures, overseeing test execution, and using acceptance test procedures.
• Experience with DO-160 and/or MIL-STD 810 environmental testing.
• Ability to work with little supervision and take initiative.
• Ability to lead small teams executing requirements validation and verification activities.
• Ability to convey complex messages clearly to different audiences.
• Microsoft Office expertise.
• Must be a U.S. Person under applicable U.S. export control laws, or have the ability to obtain export authorization.
