The Rector & Visitors of the University of Virginia is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider Manager to lead APP teams across service lines and ensure high-quality patient care and regulatory compliance. This role blends clinical practice with administrative leadership, guiding staffing, onboarding, and professional development.

It emphasizes collaboration with service line Chiefs and Medical Directors, budget planning, and workforce strategy to align with UVA Health goals and value-based care

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3 years of clinical practice experience as an APP (NP/PA).
• Active voice in identifying and closing practice/workflow gaps.
• Mentoring or developing others to elevate colleagues.
• Demonstrated collaboration across disciplines and leadership levels.
• Strong patient-focused orientation guiding day-to-day decisions.
• Ability to articulate a clear team vision.
• Commitment to maintaining accountability to established standards of practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of APP team and ensure quality output.
• Incorporate benchmark data to design APP staffing models.
• Apply LEAN methodologies to service improvements.
• Plan and conduct APP group meetings and professional development.
• Coordinate with UVA Health leaders to ensure fiscal management and quality improvement.
• Recruitment support and liaison with Human Resources.
• Supervise administrative activities related to APP productivity and compliance.
• Lead performance reviews and FPPE/OPPE.
• Ensure regulatory compliance across practice areas.
• Onboard APP staff within assigned team and implement staff scheduling guidelines.
• Develop policies for APP practice and development.
• Collaborate with other APP Managers on system-wide initiatives.
