Job summary

UVA Health's Center for Advanced Practice seeks an experienced APP Manager for Medical ICU and Hospital Medicine to lead two high-acuity APP teams while maintaining active clinical practice (60–70% of efforts).

The role partners with medical directors and division leadership to optimize deployment models, recruit and develop APP staff, and ensure practice standards. The successful candidate will advance patient care and professional growth within CAP and UVA Health.

Qualifications

• Education in nursing or related advanced practice degree.
• 5 years of APN/PA experience.
• Virginia RN license and NP/CNS/CRNA/CNM or PA license in Virginia; AHA BLS, ACLS, PALS, or NALS as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide front-line management for the Medical ICU and Hospital Medicine APP teams.
• Collaborate with medical directors and division leadership to optimize APP deployment models.
• Maintain active clinical practice representing 60–70% of total effort.
• Recruit, interview, and onboard APP staff.
• Track and report team performance metrics and staffing logistics.
