Job summary

NHS Ayrshire & Arran is recruiting Advanced Nurse Practitioners to lead and deliver high-level nursing care in the community setting, supporting prevention and early discharge goals. This development post offers opportunities for progression and enhanced independent practice.

Successful candidates will hold a Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced Clinical Practice with prescribing qualifications or be supported to obtain them, and will work within a multidisciplinary team across community and care

Qualifications

• Post registration experience in a community/hospital setting.
• Advanced clinical practice qualifications required.
• Clinical leadership and mentoring responsibilities.
• Ability to make high-level autonomous decisions.
• NMC registration and ongoing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care to stable and acutely unwell patients.
• Lead and support nursing staff within the multidisciplinary team.
• Assess, diagnose, and manage complex patient needs, including prescribing where authorized.
• Collaborate with GP practices, care homes and hospital colleagues.
• Lead quality improvement and education initiatives within NHS Ayrshire & Arran.
