PDS Tech Commercial is seeking a Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer to serve as a technical authority on engineering drawings, ensuring ASME Y14.5 GD&T compliance and validating designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance. You will lead validation efforts, guide design standards, and collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams in a senior capacity within aerospace programs.

Pay Rate: $68.75/hr

We’re seeking a highly experienced Sr Advanced Mechanical Engineer to support critical aerospace programs. In this role, you will serve as a technical authority on engineering drawings, ensuring compliance with ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards and validating designs for manufacturability, cost, and performance.

This is a senior-level opportunity to mentor engineers, influence product quality, and support next-generation propulsion systems.

What You’ll Do
Engineering Drawing & Model Validation
  • Review and validate engineering drawings and models for completeness and accuracy
  • Ensure proper application of ASME Y14.5 GD&T standards
  • Confirm designs meet functional intent, manufacturability, and compliance requirements
  • Evaluate model-based definition (MBD) practices and adherence to standards
Design & Manufacturing Support
  • Assess designs for manufacturing feasibility and cost optimization
  • Support product development and production phases
  • Provide guidance on detailed design and legacy drawing updates
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
  • Mentor and coach less experienced engineers
  • Serve as a technical validator and subject matter expert within the team
  • Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams
Continuous Improvement
  • Contribute to the evolution of the technical validation organization
  • Support improvements in design standards, processes, and efficiency
Required Qualifications
  • 10+ years of mechanical design experience
  • Deep expertise in engineering drawings and ASME Y14.5 GD&T
  • Strong ability to interpret, validate, and review complex technical drawings
  • Experience supporting design validation and product development environments
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with gas turbine engine components
  • Background in aerospace or propulsion systems
  • Experience in model-based definition (MBD) and digital engineering
  • Experience working with legacy drawings and specifications
  • Proven leadership, mentoring, or team coordination experience

Pay Details:

$68.75 per hour
