Job summary

Ingersoll Rand is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer in Mocksville, NC to support development and execution of manufacturing strategies, optimize production capabilities, and implement new technologies. This onsite role collaborates with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, and suppliers to deliver scalable, cost-effective production solutions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor Degree in Engineering required.
• 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience in a similar capital intensive, highly engineered product business.

Responsibilities

• Develop technology road map for manufacturing location to maximize machine utilization and productivity while minimizing cost.
• Assist in Make vs Buy decision on product introduction, i2v, and footprint plans with the goal of fixed overhead rationalization and leverage of core competencies.
• Provide technical input on capital expense needs tied to manufacturing startup of project future state and processes.
• Lead manufacturing project development and implementation activities through IRPX program gates.
• Procure tooling, machines, and equipment necessary to support approved site capacity and capability roadmap and deliver capable and well documented manufacturing processes.
• Ensure operator and maintenance training for new production equipment meets standards and final sign-off requirements.
• Serve in a highly cross-functional environment with engineering, manufacturing, sourcing, product management, and suppliers to optimize cost competitiveness and manufacturability.
• Serve as a critical stakeholder of large, complex programs with significant impact to the business.
