Acuity Inc. is seeking an Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to evaluate, improve, and implement manufacturing processes and equipment to boost efficiency, quality, capacity, and process integrity.

You will lead cross-functional projects across functions and locations, driving continuous improvement and cost-effective fabrication solutions. The role partners with Engineering, Operations, Quality, and Supply Chain to identify opportunities, implement new technologies, and develop best practices

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related manufacturing environment.
• Strong experience with manufacturing process improvement, equipment improvement, and implementation of manufacturing solutions.
• Experience leading engineering projects involving manufacturing equipment, processes, suppliers, timelines, and budgets.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and equipment to identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, capacity, cost, and process integrity.
• Design, develop, and implement manufacturing equipment, process improvements, and mechatronic solutions.
• Lead manufacturing engineering projects from concept through implementation, including design reviews, project schedules, supplier coordination, equipment acceptance, installation, and production readiness.
• Partner with Product and Engineering teams during new product development to ensure Design for Manufacturability (DFM), quality, cost, and operational requirements are incorporated.
• Lead complex cross-functional projects involving Engineering, Operations, Quality, Supply Chain, suppliers, and other internal and international stakeholders.
• Develop business cases for manufacturing investments and present technical and financial recommendations to leadership.
• Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, milestones, documentation, and supplier deliverables.
• Develop and review machine capacity models and recommend solutions for capacity constraints.
• Perform and support process capability analysis, including Cp/Cpk and GR&Rust;R, for new and existing manufacturing processes.
• Lead and participate in Lean and Kaizen initiatives focused on continuous improvement, waste reduction, process flow, and operational efficiency.
• Research emerging manufacturing technologies and work with equipment suppliers and vendors to identify and implement appropriate solutions.
• Troubleshoot manufacturing processes and equipment and develop sustainable corrective and preventive solutions.
• Train Operations and other stakeholders on new equipment, processes, and manufacturing methods.
• Serve as a technical resource and provide guidance to colleagues with less experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in manufacturing engineering or a related manufacturing environment.
