Job summary

Divergent in Los Angeles is seeking an Advance Manufacturing Engineer to lead the development, execution, and continuous improvement of machining, automated assembly, anodize, inspection, and cleaning work centers. You will be hands-on on the shop floor, driving scalable, high-reliability processes for automotive, aerospace, and defense programs.

You will collaborate across design and manufacturing, apply GD&T, NC programming, tooling and fixturing, and contribute to DFM discussions to improve

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent hands-on experience.
• 8+ years of aerospace or defense industry experience.
• Hands-on with additive manufacturing, robotics, coatings, and inspection/quality.
• Proficiency in CAD/CAM software and advanced CNC machining knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Own daily production execution and resolve shop-floor issues to maintain throughput.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of machining, automation, inspection, and cleaning work centers.
• Collaborate on programming for 3-, 3+2-, and 5-axis CNC mills; apply GD&T and fixturing to improve cycle time.
• Drive design-for-manufacturing discussions to improve part manufacturability.
• Create documentation and support real-time production dashboards and metrics.
