Job summary

Moseley Technical Services, Inc. in Taunton, MA is seeking a Senior Advanced Engineering Technician to support a cross-functional Hardware Engineering team in designing and building mission-critical systems.

You will work on electrical and mechanical prototype and pre-production builds, cable harness fabrication, and electronics assembly. The role requires interpreting drawings and schematics to fabricate, assemble, test, and troubleshoot hardware, with experience in D38999 connectors, PCB

Qualifications

• U.S. Citizenship is required by Federal Law.
• Ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance at time of hire.
• Associate's degree or equivalent plus 5 years of relevant experience.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• IPC J-STD-001 CIS certification.
• Experience interpreting engineering drawings, schematics, and interconnects.
• Experience with electrical and mechanical hardware fabrication, assembly, testing, and integration.
• Experience fabricating cables, harnesses, wiring assemblies, and chassis hardware.
• Ability to perform circuit board rework (SMT/through-hole) and precision soldering under a microscope.
• Familiarity with military-style connectors including D38999.

Responsibilities

• Support electrical and mechanical prototype and pre-production hardware builds for complex systems.
• Fabricate and assemble cables, cable harnesses, wiring, chassis, and system hardware.
• Perform chassis integration and assembly of electrical and mechanical components.
• Interpret drawings, schematics, and interconnects and follow assembly documentation.
• Work from schematics and written instructions to perform fabrication, assembly, testing, and checkout.
• Use hand tools and crimp tools to build and integrate components.
• Perform PCB rework and white wire additions per engineering instructions.
• Conduct precision soldering under a microscope.
• Work with D38999 connectors.
• Identify hardware issues and provide feedback for improvements before production.
• Support hardware development throughout the program lifecycle.
