Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Senior Engineer II to co-own the technical roadmap for off-platform advertising, data collaboration, and taxonomy automation. You will drive architecture, mentor engineers, and partner with Product, Data Science, and Governance teams to deliver high-impact features.

You will lead AI-first engineering efforts, improve CI/CD, observability, and cost efficiency, and help define on-call and SLOs.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of software engineering delivering and operating large-scale backend/data systems.
• Backend and data engineering; Python plus Ruby or Go; REST/gRPC services.
• Data pipelines with DBT and Airflow; Spark/Databricks; advanced SQL.
• Snowflake and AWS experience; cost-aware design; Temporal; event-driven patterns.
• Ads/cleanrooms/privacy; GDPR/CCPA; CI/CD, observability with Datadog; AI tools.
• Strong collaboration and clear technical writing; stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Technical leadership and roadmap.
• Lead architecture for scalable systems across off-platform workflows, cleanrooms, taxonomy automation, and Ads Data Solutions Platform.
• Evolve abstractions, testing, CI/CD, observability, and cost efficiency; modernization.
• Mentor engineers up to L5; act as IC tech lead; define on-call/SLOs.
• Build cross-team partnerships with Ads Manager, Measurement Science, Data Platform, Privacy/Legal, external platforms.
• AI-first engineering; use AI-assisted tools daily; define prompts/workflows.
• Translate ambiguous requirements into phased work with SLAs/SLOs; security-by-design and data governance.
