Amazon is seeking a Senior Software Development Engineer for Ads Core Infra (ACI) to build and operate real-time data services powering AI-driven advertising across the Advertising portfolio.

The role focuses on scalable, highly available systems that handle millions of advertiser interactions around 20+ marketplaces, with emphasis on LLM integration, data pipelines, and robust access control.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• 5+ years of programming experience in at least one language.
• 5+ years of design/architecture leadership experience.
• Experience mentoring or leading an engineering team.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and operate real-time data retrieval services powering AI agent decision-making across Amazon Advertising.
• Build and maintain streaming pipelines ingesting petabyte-scale datasets to deliver fresh advertiser intelligence.
• Own end-to-end advertiser profile generation, including LLM-powered resolution and real-time serving across multiple entity types.
• Design authorization and access controls across multiple account types and ad programs.
• Develop evaluation frameworks measuring data quality and query accuracy with automated regression tests.
• Create self-service onboarding for partner teams to access new datasets and query functions.
• Operate production services with high availability and on-call rotations.
• Drive technical design through docs and reviews, collaborating with data and science teams.
• Identify bottlenecks and optimize for cost efficiency in compute, storage, and LLM inference.
• Mentor engineers and raise technical standards across the organization.
