Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking a Sr. Admissions Rep/Registrar to handle patient greetings, registrations, and financial counseling on the third shift. You will verify insurance, obtain required signatures, and ensure accurate data entry using hospital information systems.

The role requires a high school diploma and 2–5 years of registration experience, plus typing at least 40 WPM and knowledge of insurance processes to optimize patient flow and cash collection.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two to five years registration experience.
• Previous computer entry experience and ability to type 40 WPM.
• Knowledge of insurance requirements and/or third-party reimbursement.
• At least 16 hours of training with Quality Director and 40 hours of departmental orientation.

Responsibilities

• Greet patients cordially and coordinate patient flow.
• Register patients accurately and collect out-of-pocket money.
• Perform initial financial screening and counseling.
• Obtain signatures and inform patients of admission and financial responsibilities.
• Verify insurance coverage and use hospital systems for document scanning.
