Job summary

Lakewood Ranch Medical Center is seeking an Admissions Rep/Registrar (PRN) to support patient admissions, coordinate patient flow, and maintain positive relationships with hospital staff, physicians and insurers in Bradenton, FL.

The role requires accurate registrations, insurance verification at point of service, and strong communication; typing speed 40 WPM and basic computer skills are valued. Prior hospital experience preferred; training provided.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• One year experience in a hospital setting or related field.
• Minimum of 16 hours training with Quality Director and 40 hours departmental orientation.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate patient flow and registrations; collect out-of-pocket payments.
• Disperse paperwork to the appropriate department.
• Answer incoming calls using approved scripts.
• Type at least 40 WPM with accuracy.
• Apply medical terminology and knowledge of third-party requirements.
• Handle stressful situations.
• Maintain flexibility in work schedule.
• Demonstrate communication, interpersonal, basic computer, and customer service skills.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
