• Able to develop trust and credibility with staff and providers.
• Keeps up with current development and trends in the area of expertise.

Responsibilities

• Identifies industry opportunities and threats and recommends strategies to address. Consults with colleagues for best practices and industry trends. Determines the value/cost benefit of resource investments for future growth of the service line.
• Initiates proposals for improved market position, patient experience, operational efficiency, and patient safety with input from Department leadership. Oversees clinical, business and academic operations including implementation and adherence to policies and procedures, patient experience, safety and quality goals.
• Monitors key performance indicators, scorecards, patient feedback, and financial reports at a departmental and individual level to ensure the data and that the Department remains on course to meet or exceed operational goals.
• Provide feedback to the leadership for any potential corrective actions.
• Partners with Department Chair to support achievement of provider goals, research study success, and appropriate resident and student experience.
• Oversees HR decisions, hiring, talent development, physician manpower plan & performance management.
