Qualifications

• Bachelors degree required.
• Five years of healthcare, hospital, or patient care delivery experience preferred.
• Strategic leadership and business plan development experience.
• Ability to drive departmental growth and market share.
• Ability to anticipate problems in a complex environment and mitigate impact.
• Strong communicator with ability to influence providers and staff.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Provides department leadership to achieve Rush Medical Center and Rush University Medical Group strategic priorities and goals.
• Maintains collaborative relationships with physicians, providers, administrative, academic, clinical, and research leaders.
• Translates goals into actionable business tactics aligned with department and hospital plans.
• Engages physicians to support best clinical practices and manage resources.
• Identifies opportunities and threats and recommends growth strategies for the service line.
• Oversees reporting of KPIs, budget, patient experience, and quality goals to meet operational targets.
• Supports physician recruitment, staff development, and budgeting processes.
• Monitors staffing metrics and fosters an engaged, high-performing team.
• Maintains communication with staff to align with Rush goals and industry trends.
• Ensures compliance with regulatory requirements and Epic/system usage.
