Florida State University seeks a professional to serve as a special assistant to the dean of the College of Criminology and Criminal Justice. The role covers managing the dean’s office, coordinating meetings, drafting and editing documents, planning events, and supporting development efforts.
The position also serves as a subject matter expert for faculty administrative and HR matters and handles overall administrative duties in a busy academic environment.

This is a professional position serving as a special assistant to the dean of the college. Responsible for managing the dean’s office, coordinating meetings, communicating with university leadership, writing drafts, proofreading and editing documents, planning special events and other administrative functions. Assists the dean with development and fundraising. Serves as the subject matter expert for faculty administrative and HR matters. Assists with overall administrative matters.
Bachelor's degree and four years' experience or a high school diploma or equivalent and eight years of experience. (Note: or combination of post high school education and experience equal to eight years.)
Master’s degree preferred, demonstrated ability to write, proofread, revise and make final edits for documents and/or presentations, FSU or other educational organizations work experience.
