Job summary

Ann & Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago is seeking an Administrative Assistant- Senior to support clinical and operational initiatives.

You will manage leadership calendars, coordinate travel, prepare meeting materials, and produce reports with strong MS Office skills in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a bachelor's degree (preferred) and 3+ years in a related role, with excellence in communication and problem solving.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; 3+ years in a similar role preferred.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; self-motivated and professional.
  • Solid time management and problem solving with tight deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and complete tasks with accuracy.
  • Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint; advanced Outlook required.

Responsibilities

  • Provides advanced administrative assistance to clinical and/or operational initiatives.
  • Manages calendars and coordinates meetings for leadership/faculty.
  • Arranges travel, venues, catering, and logistics for faculty recruitment visits.
  • Develops meeting materials, agendas, and notes on request.
  • Produces correspondence, reports, and presentations using MS Office.
  • Reconciles purchasing card, submits expense reports, PO and check requests.
  • Practices project management with task breakdowns, prioritization, and scheduling.
  • Streamlines office workflows with Division Leadership for efficiency.
  • May orient and coach other Administrative Professionals or lead AP committees.
  • Creates and maintains department org charts and lists; leads large projects.
