Job summary

University of Hawai'i System seeks an Administrative Officer, Senior to lead fiscal and personnel operations for the Office of the Vice President for Research and Innovation (OVPRI). You will coordinate with UH and RCUH, supervise staff, and ensure compliance with regulations across systemwide programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required with extensive professional experience in financial management or related field.
• Experience in public higher education environments is preferred.
• Strong leadership and strategic planning capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Serves as Senior Administrative Officer for VP Research and Innovation; manages fiscal and personnel affairs for VPRI Office and systemwide programs.
• Acts as liaison between the VPRI office, other support offices, and central offices to support financial and personnel responsibilities.
• Oversees personnel transactions including immigration, hiring, benefits and terminations for UH and RCUH system.
• Manages daily fiscal operations, including review, approval, and processing of fiscal transactions.
• Prepares and interprets financial conditions; monitors reports and communicates significant changes to the VP.
• Oversees contracts & grants budgets, financial reports, personnel matters, purchasing, and compliance with UH, RCUH, state and federal guidelines.
