Job summary

University of California - San Francisco is seeking a senior Research Administrator to collaborate with the Research Administration Manager, develop and deploy team trainings, and participate in workgroups and committees. You will bring leadership to change management projects that streamline internal processes and review complex transactions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance or Government Accounting with 5+ years related experience or equivalent training.
• Extensive knowledge of program administration guidelines of Federal and non-Federal sponsors supporting research and教育 activities, preferably in a university environment.
• Advanced knowledge of grant funding processes, procedures and techniques.
• Ability to interpret policy and apply sponsor, institutional and departmental policies.
• Ability to manage high-volume and complex transactions.
• Ability to perform highly complex financial analysis and customized reporting.
• Ability to interpret policy for others.
• Advanced knowledge of GAAP principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency with spreadsheet and database software; strong MS Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development and deployment of team trainings.
• Actively participate in workgroups and committees.
• Provide leadership on change management projects to streamline internal processes.
• Review and approve transactions for less experienced staff.
• Serve as Research Administration SME across the Department.
• Provide temporary coverage of post-award services when needed.
• Interpret University and sponsor policies within the financial component of research.
