Job summary

Blue Origin is hiring an Additive Manufacturing Technician to operate and optimize AM systems, producing precision components and prototypes for spaceflight programs. You will translate engineering intent into additively manufactured polymer hardware while maintaining a safe, 5S work area.

You’ll read blueprints and CAD models, troubleshoot issues, and collaborate with engineers and quality teams to drive process improvements.

Qualifications

• 3+ years manufacturing experience in advanced tech operations
• Experience with additive manufacturing polymers (PLA, ABS, TPU, PETG)
• Ability to read work orders, blueprints, and technical docs
• Strong computer proficiency and production record keeping
• Able to lift up to 25 pounds and use hand tools
• Self-motivated in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain AM equipment including 3D printers
• Set up and optimize AM processes and materials
• Post-process parts and remove supports
• Read CAD models and drawings for builds
• Troubleshoot process issues and reduce downtime
• Inspect and ship orders, report non-conformances
• Support R&D and cost-reduction initiatives
• Maintain 5S compliant, safe work area
