Job summary

Collins Aerospace is seeking a hands-on Additive Manufacturing technical professional to operate and maintain advanced AM equipment, support machine operators, and prepare production build files. You will collaborate with Manufacturing and Process Engineering to resolve issues and drive continuous improvement on the shop floor.

The role emphasizes safety, quality, and learning new AM technologies to produce high‑quality aerospace hardware. Onsite role with opportunities across the value stream.

Qualifications

• Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience.
• Hands‑on experience with CNC machining and familiarity with manufacturing processes.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, including GD&T and 3D modeling.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain advanced additive manufacturing equipment across the value stream.
• Provide guidance and troubleshooting support to machine operators.
• Prepare machine build files for production and development activities.
• Investigate equipment failures and process issues through RCCA.
• Track OEE and other key operational metrics to improve performance.
• Create and improve work instructions and process documents.
• Collaborate with engineering and maintenance teams on issues and improvements.
• Obtain and maintain required operator certifications for processes and equipment.
