Job summary

Seagate Technology is seeking a Sr. Engineering Specialist for the Additive Manufacturing & Prototyping Lab in Shakopee. The role focuses on operating 3D printers, scanners, and laser systems to transform concepts into physical prototypes while collaborating with engineers and project stakeholders.

You will manage prototyping requests, select processes based on project needs, and maintain a safe, well‑organized lab. Relevant technical degrees and hands-on experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Hands-on with additive manufacturing and digital fabrication technologies.
• Ability to interpret CAD models and technical instructions.
• Experience operating technical equipment and following detailed procedures.

Responsibilities

• Operate, maintain, and optimize additive manufacturing systems.
• Process customer requests and prepare build files for prototype parts.
• Collaborate with engineers to translate concepts into physical prototypes.
• Review prototyping requests and manage timelines.
• Monitor machine utilization and project progress.
