Job summary

VulcanForms is seeking a Senior Product Engineer, Post-Processing to design and direct manufacturing steps from printed parts to finished products. You will lead DFAM feedback, develop post-processing processes, and ensure measurements and quality control across aerospace and defense components.

You will apply advanced 3D CAD, ERP tooling, and GD&T to optimize processes, drive continuous improvement, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-precision parts at scale.

Qualifications

• DFAM feedback against customer designs and constraints.
• Strong GD&T and tolerance analysis for manufacturing.
• Experience with aerospace/defense product development lifecycle.
• ERP experience in batch manufacturing environments.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer designs and provide DFAM feedback.
• Partner with product team to optimize processing for customer requirements.
• Own post-print process development including depowdering, heat treatment, and subcontracted steps.
• Work with quality teams to ensure inspection methods meet customer needs in development and production.
• Translate requirements into factory manufacturing steps using ERP systems.
• Design and implement fixtures and work-holding for depowdering, EDM, heat treatment, and finishing.
• Write and maintain work instructions and quality documentation.
• Support troubleshooting across every process step between printing and final delivery.
