Job summary

Ford Motor Company seeks an experienced ADAS Technical Program Manager to lead a global team delivering embedded software for ADAS ECUs across multiple vehicle platforms. You will partner with Systems, Software, Suppliers, Manufacturing, V&V, Platform, and Quality to align roadmaps and ensure on-time delivery with high quality.

The role requires a strong background in embedded software, 3+ years leading engineers or TPMs, 5+ years of global project leadership, and expert JIRA/confluence usage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Aerospace Engineering, or similar related technical field.
• 10+ years working experience in product development of hardware, software, and/or services.
• 5+ years leading technical projects globally.
• 3+ years leading a team of engineers or technical program managers.
• Expertise with modern work management tools and technical work plan management within those tools. Expert level proficiency with JIRA is required.
• Expertise with modern software development practices and a strong background in embedded software development.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of ADAS Technical Program Managers and partner with key stakeholders to define, scope, prioritize, plan, and deliver major ADAS software initiatives that support multiple vehicle platforms across Ford.
• Understand the needs of stakeholders across the product development organization and influence as appropriate to achieve alignment on the prioritized initiatives
• Apply technical project planning, management, and leadership for the development and delivery of ADAS Embedded Software both within Ford and in integration with Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier software products.
• Implement and execute roadmaps, schedules, project plans, and resourcing plans to enable ADAS to meet customer commitments
• Lead team members on modern, world-class, software development practices, and precise execution of a technical plan, including management of milestone progress, dependency tracking, risk management, and risk mitigation
• Interface with cross functional teams – Systems, Software, Suppliers, Manufacturing, V&V, Platform, and Quality to define and drive development plans, ensuring on time software delivery with highest quality
• Partner with technical development leaders to create symbiotic relationships that showcase high value in technical leader/TPM matched-pairing through delivery velocity
• Utilize technical knowledge and capabilities to assist technical leaders and engineers in resolving dependencies and issues with stakeholders
• Help to resolve technical issues or, at a minimum, lead the forum where solution options are discussed and driven to a conclusion
• Elevate the visibility of the team – provide regular “push” updates through Confluence, Teams, email, and other communication mediums
• Communicate and present project status to a broad stakeholder and leadership community, highlighting schedule risks and developing recovery plans in the event of project slips.
• Lead executive level reviews of status across multiple ADAS projects with both internal and third party executive leadership.
• Proactively utilize work management tools such as Confluence and JIRA to make plans and status visible to leadership and to provide strategic planning options/contingencies
