Job summary

Parkland Health and Hospital System is opening a 56-bed Medical/Surgical unit in Dallas, aimed at delivering high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment. The unit features 20 double-occupancy rooms and 16 private rooms to support diverse patient needs.

The RN role uses the nursing process to assess, diagnose, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, ensuring safe transitions and timely interventions.

Qualifications

• Must graduate from an accredited school of nursing.
• Two years of nursing experience.
• Experience in acute care preferred.
• Current RN license and BLS certification required.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patients and coordinate care with the health care team.
• Maintain nursing standards and hospital policies.
• Provide patient education and discharge planning.
• Serve as preceptor or rotate as Charge Nurse.
