Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare in Minneapolis, MN seeks an Occupational Therapist II for our inpatient/acute care team. This full-time role works daytime hours with weekend rotation and will provide evaluation, treatment, discharge planning and education.

Preferred candidates have acute care experience. You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, document progress, and mentor OT aides while ensuring adherence to department standards.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by ACOTE.
• Minimum of 2 full-time years of experience (4,160 hours).
• NBCOT certification eligibility and MN OT licensure.

Responsibilities

• Performs and documents comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
• Develops and documents patient care plans to promote function and safety.
• Observes, evaluates and documents patient progress.
• Participates in hospital rounds and patient care conferences.
• Educates patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and treatments.
• Supervises OT aides and directs supported activities as needed.
• Provides work direction for clerical staff and supports department policies.
