Job summary

Hennepin Healthcare is seeking an Occupational Therapist II for our inpatient/acute care team in downtown Minneapolis. This full-time role offers day shifts with start times around 7:30–8:00 AM and includes every 4th weekend.

The candidate should have acute care experience and be ready to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team. Responsibilities include evaluation, discharge planning, and education, with supervision of OT aides and continued program development.

Qualifications

Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the AMA.
Minimum of 2 fulltime years of experience (4,160 hours).
CPR certification and NBCOT eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

Performs and documents occupational therapy evaluations.
Develops and documents patient care plans to promote function and safety.
Observes and documents patient progress; participates in rounds and conferences.
Educates patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and treatments.
Directs and supervises OT aides and equipment handling.
Assists in mentoring new staff and developing programs.
