Qualifications

Graduation from an occupational therapy curriculum accredited by the AMA.
Minimum of 2 full-time years of experience (4,160 hours).
NBCOT certification or eligibility (must take/pass first available examination).
Minnesota license or temporary license eligibility.

Responsibilities

Performs and documents comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations.
Develops and documents patient care plans to promote optimal function and safety.
Observes, evaluates and documents patient progress.
Participates in hospital rounds and patient care conferences.
Educates patients and caregivers on therapeutic techniques, cares and treatments.
Completes all documentation and charges per departmental standards.
Functions as a clinical instructor for OT students.
Directs OT aides and supervises activities within training and skill levels.
Develops and conducts OT in-services for staff.
Orients and mentors newly assigned staff.
Serves as a department resource on policies and procedures.
Assists in monitoring quality of OT activities and services.
