Sentara Health is seeking a Senior Coding Specialist- Acute Care to support daily operations, coordinate work, and ensure quality and regulatory compliance in acute care coding. The role requires 2 years of coding experience and CCS/CIC/CCA/RHIT/CPC/COC certifications, with health information management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists the Team Coordinator/Manager with daily operations, coordination of work, quality and service, achievement of operating center goals and objectives, customer satisfaction, and in meeting regulatory requirements through providing technical expertise within assigned area.
• Serves as technical resource for other team members through participation in quality control and improvement activities, staff development activities and daily support to team members.
