Sentara Healthcare Inc in Virginia is seeking a Senior Coding Specialist- Acute Care to support daily operations, coordinate work, and ensure accuracy and regulatory compliance through expert coding and team guidance.

The role requires 2 years of coding experience and CCS, CIC, CCA, RHIT, CPC, or COC certification(s); 1 year Health Information Management experience is preferred. Virginia or North Carolina remote work is preferred.

Senior Coding Specialist- Acute Care

Assists the Team Coordinator/Manager with daily operations, coordination of work, quality and service, achievement of operating center goals and objectives, customer satisfaction, and in meeting regulatory requirements through providing technical expertise within assigned area. Serves as technical resource for other team members through participation in quality control and improvement activities, staff development activities and daily support to team members. Assists Team Coordinator/Manager in facilitating and monitoring the work process(es) of a designated team.

2 years coding experience and CCS, CIC, CCA, RHIT, CPC, or COC certification(s) required. 1 years Health Information Management experience preferred.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay range for full-time employment is $34.92 - $50.83 hourly. Additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, on-call pay, overtime, shift premiums, extra-shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
