Job summary

Raytheon in Massachusetts is seeking a Senior Engineer for the Radar Analog and Power Department (RAP). This onsite role focuses on developing control systems, power conversion, and actuation for high‑performance defense platforms, with travel to local sites as needed.

The ideal candidate will hold a STEM degree, have 5+ years in actuation or motion controls, experience with Matlab/Simulink, and possess a U.S. DoD security clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelors degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years’ experience.
• Experience with electromagnetic or electrohydraulic control actuation systems.

Responsibilities

• Develop technical solutions for high‑performance actuation system and motion control challenges.
• Work autonomously with limited oversight and manage small projects around assigned program work.
• Support design, test, and systems engineering across lifecycle from concept to production.
• Apply systems engineering principles to complex actuation problems and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams.
• Interact with internal/external customers and IPT leads.
