Job summary

Munich Re America Services, Inc. is seeking an Actuary Sr. to lead IT-enabled enhancements of the legacy actuarial systems while performing detailed reserve analyses for non-life reinsurance.

The role requires FCAS or comparable certification, a strong background in P&C actuarial methods, and proficiency with R, SAS, SQL, Python, and data visualization tools. Telecommuting is possible with in-office reporting twice weekly in Princeton, NJ.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering or related field.
• FCAS or equivalent actuarial society membership.
• 6 years in actuarial roles in P&C insurance; or 4 years with Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional IT initiative to upgrade legacy actuarial systems.
• Perform detailed reserve analyses across actuarial segments.
• Peer review of reserving work by team members.
• Support quarterly and annual close/reporting for non-life reinsurance.
• Ensure compliance with Statutory, GAAP, Solvency II and IFRS.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to streamline actuarial operations.

Education
