Job summary

Munich Re America Services, Inc. in Princeton, NJ seeks an Actuary Sr. to lead cross-functional efforts to upgrade legacy actuarial systems and perform reserve analyses for non-life reinsurance.

The role requires FCAS or equivalent, a strong background in GAAP/IFRS/Solvency II reporting, and collaboration across IT, accounting, and business units. Hybrid work is available with reporting to the Princeton office twice weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or Engineering.
• FCAS or other comparable actuarial fellowship required.
• 6 years of P&C actuarial experience or 4 years with a Master’s degree.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional IT initiatives to upgrade legacy actuarial systems with automated, scalable solutions.
• Perform reserve analyses across actuarial segments with accuracy and compliance.
• Peer review reserving analyses prepared by colleagues.
• Support quarterly and annual close and reporting for non-life reinsurance.
• Ensure compliance with Statutory, GAAP, Solvency II and IFRS reporting.
• Collaborate with Central Reserving, Business Units, Accounting, IT on streamlined operations.
• Develop actuarial models and automate data preparation and reporting tasks.
• Analyze loss trends and model outputs to inform decisions; build dashboards using Power BI/Tableau.
