Job summary

AF Group is seeking a Senior Actuary for a full-time remote role based in the United States. You will provide advanced actuarial support across pricing, reserving, and forecasting for AF Group’s specialty lines.

Qualifications

• Strong analytical skills to interpret complex data, build models, and draw actionable insights.
• Knowledge of finance and insurance concepts including premium adequacy, reserving, capital management, and profitability analysis.
• Proficiency in statistics and actuarial science with predictive modeling and advanced methods.
• FCAS/FSA designation and a minimum of eight (8) years' P&C actuarial experience OR associate designation with twelve (12) years' P&C experience.
• Comfort with actuarial and data tools (Excel, SQL, R, Python) and willingness to learn new technologies.
• Effective communication to explain technical results to non-technical partners and leadership.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide advanced actuarial support across pricing, reserving, and forecasting.
• Develop and refine rating models; evaluate loss trends and profitability by product, segment, and distribution channel.
• Collaborate with underwriting, finance, and risk management to offer insights and guidance.
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations for leadership; mentor junior staff to promote best practices.
