Job summary

Toyota North America is seeking an experienced actuary within its Data Science team to lead pricing and reserving analyses for vehicle protection products. You will independently partner with product teams to shape pricing for back-end vehicle purchase and lease products, monitor claims, and refine rate filings as needed.

The role emphasizes cross-functional collaboration, advanced analytics, and rigorous risk assessment to support Toyota's strategic growth in insurance and protection offerings.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on pricing, reserving, forecasting, or loss analysis experience using Python and SQL.
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills with good judgment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience with predictive modeling and analytical methods.

Responsibilities

• Provide actuarial pricing and filed premium rate expertise.
• Build, test, and refine predictive models and analytic frameworks.
• Analyze large datasets to support pricing and performance decisions across product lines.
• Partner with cross-functional teams to identify trends and translate data into actionable recommendations.
• Communicate findings clearly to technical and non-technical stakeholders with visuals and concise analysis.
• Own quarterly unpaid claims estimates and ensure proper accounting treatment.
• Monitor earnings patterns by product segment and identify risks and opportunities.
• Collaborate with departments to support timely decision-making and business objectives.
