Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Principal Actuary to deliver advanced actuarial analysis, modeling, and forecasting across health programs. You will partner with actuarial teams and support Network Management, Underwriting, and Sales & Marketing with leadership on assigned projects.

Qualifications include ASA/MAAA, 5+ years in the field, and strong pricing and rating experience. The role may include team leadership responsibilities and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• ASA and MAAA membership or equivalent credentials.
• 5+ years of experience in actuarial field; Fellows may be considered in lieu of ASA.

Responsibilities

• Actuarial modeling for complex rating and pricing.
• Leads and/or provides consultative support to assigned projects.
• Support for Rating/Pricing and Financial Forecasting.
• Assist with Network Management, Underwriting, and Sales & Marketing support.
• Provide ad hoc underwriting support as needed.
• Support for new product development and product programs.
