Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Principal Actuary to provide advanced actuarial analysis and technical support for complex rating, pricing, valuation, and financial forecasting work. This role partners with actuarial teams and supports Network Management, Underwriting, and Sales and Marketing in a Hybrid Flex environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in related field.
• In lieu of an ASA, alternate actuarial credentials may be considered.
• In lieu of 5 years of experience, Fellows of the Society of Actuaries may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Actively contributes to the success of the Actuarial Services team.
• Handles highly complex actuarial modeling.
• Leads and/or provides consultative support to assigned projects as an expert.
• Assists in Rating/Pricing and develops/maintains rating models.
• Performs Medical Trend analysis and supports expense factor development.
• Conducts Experience Studies and Rating Factor Studies.
• Supports Rate Filing development and Financial Forecasting.
• Collaborates with FP&A to support plan forecasts for segments.
