Job summary

Liberty Mutual seeks a Senior Actuarial Analyst / Actuary to drive state-level indications and profitability decisions across the US Retail Markets Personal Lines Auto segment. You will lead rate indicators, collaborate with risk analytics, and mentor junior staff while shaping state strategy.

You should have strong Excel/SQL skills, actuarial progress toward ACAS/FCAS, and 3–5 years of relevant experience. Hybrid work may be required based on location.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a mathematical, statistical, or actuarial field; progress toward ACAS/FCAS preferred.
• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant actuarial experience and solid knowledge of actuarial techniques.
• Strong communication, presentation, and stakeholder-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead state indications that support rate guidance and profitability optimization.
• Build and refine indications tools and methodologies to quantify state-level profitability.
• Collaborate with Risk Analytics, State Operations, and cross-functional teams to align pricing and underwriting levers.
• Provide mentorship to junior team members and share expertise across the group.
• Influence decision-making by delivering clear analyses and concise recommendations.
