Job summary

MetLife is seeking an Actuary, Insurance and Product Risk Management to provide risk oversight for Retirement & Income Solutions, focusing on product risk management, pricing governance, and strategic risk analysis. The role partners with cross‑functional teams to maintain robust risk frameworks and deliver actionable insights for sound business decisions.

Location: Hybrid in-office three days per week in the U.S.

Qualifications

• Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA) with 5+ years of insurance or consulting experience.
• Advanced analytical and actuarial modeling capabilities.
• Strong business acumen and strategic thinking.
• Proven ability to partner across stakeholders and foster teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Conduct risk assessments and product/pricing reviews across RIS offerings, ensuring risks are identified, understood, and mitigated.
• Review and challenge key actuarial assumptions including mortality, longevity, policyholder behavior, expenses, and investment margins.
• Perform stress testing, scenario analysis, and emerging risk evaluations to assess product profitability under varying conditions.
• Evaluate ALM strategies to support sound product and portfolio performance.
• Strengthen risk governance by integrating risk management practices into product strategy and providing clear, actionable recommendations to senior leadership.
