Job summary

Health Care Service Corporation (HCSC) is seeking an actuary to participate in implementing and maintaining models used for pricing, underwriting and forecasting. You will run basic models and analyze results while developing presentation skills and actuarial knowledge.

The role requires a bachelor’s in actuarial science or related fields, ASA/MAAA credentials, and at least 3 years of actuarial experience. It is a hybrid position with 3 days in office and 2 remote days.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Actuarial Science, Mathematics, Statistics or Economics. Other Bachelor (or higher) Degrees may be considered.
• ASA and MAAA membership required or preferred.
• At least 3 years of actuarial experience.
• Verbal and written communications skills to prepare documentation, facilitate training and participate in presentations.
• PC proficiency to include Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Participate in implementation, maintenance and basic analysis of actuarial models for pricing, underwriting, statistics, reserving and forecasting.
• Run, build and analyze results of basic models.
• Develop oral and written presentation skills and learn basic business and actuarial concepts.
