You will assist in designing and maintaining technology solutions for valuation data needs, focusing on GAAP, Stat, and Tax for life products and supporting data warehousing and reporting efforts.

The role emphasizes collaboration with actuaries, IT, and consultants, with opportunities to automate processes and enhance governance. A strong SQL Server background is preferred.

Qualifications

• FSA or ASA designation with actuarial experience.
• Undergraduate degree in Actuarial Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Computer Science, Data Science or Data Analytics or other quantitative major.
• 5-7+ years’ experience aligned with responsibilities.
• Ideal candidate has strong SQL Server skills.

Responsibilities

• Gain in-depth knowledge of monthly, quarterly and annual valuation production duties for GAAP, Stat and Tax for all Life products.
• Assist in maintaining and improving financial reporting controls and governance structures.
• Participate in requests with auditors, consultants, and other external audiences on reserving and financial reporting methods.
• Maintain existing reporting processes as new requirements arise due to financial transactions, reinsurance deals or regulatory changes.
• Review processes for improvements or corrections and evaluate remediation.
