Securian Financial Group is building a new Group Disability & Leave product line. The Senior Group Disability & Leave Actuary will own pricing capability, pricing assumptions, methods, and governance to support product development, market launch, and profitable growth.

The role partners with Product, Underwriting, Finance, and actuarial teams, and may later build a disability pricing team. Requires deep knowledge of disability products and pricing, strong communication, and leadership potential.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Group Disability & Leave products with pricing and rate filing experience.
• Experience developing actuarial assumptions, pricing methods, tools, and supporting analysis for Disability and Leave products.
• Experience connecting pricing with financial modeling, valuation, and financial results.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with ability to communicate complex topics clearly.
• Experience leading or supporting large projects and collaborating with external consultants.

Responsabilités

• Actuarial Pricing and Capability Development: create and own assumptions, methods, tools, documentation, and controls for price setting.
• Lead case pricing support and develop experience rating tools and reserves.
• Support product filings and regulatory responses; collaborate with consultants.
