Job summary

Pacific Life seeks a Senior Actuary (FSA) to join the Consumer Markets Division FP&A team. You will forecast, analyze, and shape financial strategy for life insurance and annuity products, collaborating across hedging, valuation, pricing, and investments.

The role is on-site 4 days per week with one remote day, located in Newport Beach, CA; Omaha, NE; or Charlotte, NC. Relocation assistance is available for candidates outside these areas.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher; FSA designation with 6+ years of insurance experience.
• Strong knowledge of life and annuity products in valuation, modeling, hedging, or pricing.
• Ability to interpret trends, communicate findings, and assess downstream impacts.
• Familiarity with actuarial modeling platforms, data visualization tools, and forecasting software.

Responsibilities

• Lead advanced driver analysis across multiple product lines and compare to plans and best estimates.
• Develop predictive models and reporting tools for investment income, option costs, and reserve attributions.
• Communicate financial impacts of capital market changes across US GAAP, statutory, and economic frameworks.
• Innovate forecasting methodologies and integrate feedback loops to improve accuracy.
• Shape executive decisions through actionable insights and scenario modeling.
