Job summary

Waymo is seeking a senior actuarial professional in Mountain View to lead end-to-end analyses, build pricing and reserving models for commercial auto, and automate workflows with AI tooling. You will quantify risks for autonomous driving and collaborate across Safety, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Finance to deliver actionable risk insights.

The role requires deep actuarial expertise (FCAS preferred) with strong R/Python and SQL skills, plus experience in data visualization and scalable data

Qualifications

• FCAS strongly preferred; ACAS considered for exceptional candidates.
• Experience in casualty pricing, reserving, or risk modeling.
• Fluent in R or Python with advanced SQL and data visualization skills.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end actuarial analyses from data gathering to presentation.
• Build and refine pricing and reserving models for commercial auto.
• Automate actuarial workflows and adopt AI-assisted tooling.
• Quantify autonomous driving risks with innovative metrics.
• Build scalable data pipelines from internal and external data sources.
• Collaborate with Safety, Engineering, Product, Legal, and Finance.
