Job summary

Constellation Insurance, Inc. is seeking an experienced actuarial leader to drive life insurance product pricing, development, and in-force management.

This hands-on role combines technical actuarial work with product strategy, cross-functional collaboration, and team development. You will lead pricing design, conduct experience monitoring, prepare regulatory filings, and mentor a small actuarial team while coordinating with reinsurers and stakeholders.

Qualifications

• At least 10 years of actuarial experience in life insurance, with significant pricing/product management experience.
• FSA or ASA required; MAAA membership preferred.
• Strong knowledge of IUL, UL, BOLI, Term Life and Whole Life products.
• Proficient actuarial modeling with MG-ALFA and/or Integrate.
• Experience supporting state and Compact product filings.
• Understanding of illustration regulations and tax rules (7702/7702A).
• Experience developing and implementing life insurance products.
• Excellent project management, communication, and presentation skills.
• Ability to translate complex analyses into practical recommendations for stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading actuarial analysis for design, pricing, and development of life insurance products, including pricing models and experience monitoring.
• Preparing memoranda, pricing docs, and regulatory filing support while ensuring compliance.
• Evaluating product competitiveness, profitability, capital requirements, and risk including reinsurance solutions and innovation.
• Collaborating cross-functionally to support product development, implementation, system validation, and administration.
• Analyzing in-force performance and recommending changes to rates, dividends, and features.
• Conducting experience studies and profitability analyses on mortality, persistency, lapses, premiums, expenses, commissions, and investment returns.
• Supporting illustration testing, governance, policyholder inquiries, and operational improvements.
• Contributing to product strategy, roadmaps, market analysis, and enterprise initiatives.
• Preparing management reports and board presentations; communicating actuarial findings to stakeholders.
• Managing two to three direct reports, mentoring talent, supporting rotation programs, and liaising with reinsurers and vendors.
