Job summary

EY is seeking a Senior Consultant actuarial adviser to join our Financial Services Organization. You will work directly with clients on complex life/annuity projects, delivering product strategy, model development and regulatory insight.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of actuarial experience, ongoing SOA credentials progress, and strong communication skills. Travel to client sites is expected as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Actuarial Science/Math/Statistics/Finance/Economics or related quantitative major
• Approximately 3+ years of relevant life/annuity actuarial experience (consulting, carrier, or reinsurer)
• Progress toward SOA credentials (ASA or advanced ASA candidacy)
• Exposure to U.S. Life, Health, and Annuity products and key actuarial considerations
• Familiarity with U.S. statutory, GAAP, tax reporting frameworks and emerging regulatory developments
• Experience with at least one core life actuarial discipline and modeling software platforms
• Strong writing, presentation, analytical and interpersonal skills
• Willingness to travel to meet client needs

Responsibilities

• Provide knowledge to clients to execute strategies and resolve complex issues on client engagement teams
• Participate in projects: product strategy and innovation, model development, actuarial transformation, M&A, reinsurance and capital optimization
• Support financial and regulatory reporting, enterprise strategy and related activities
