Job summary

IFG Companies in New Jersey is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst to support its Bind and Brokerage pricing teams. You will develop and enhance actuarial analyses, processes, and models to inform rate indications, pricing decisions, and portfolio monitoring.

The role requires strong analytical skills, experience in P&C insurance, and proficiency in Excel, SQL, and Python. A hybrid work arrangement is offered with several days in the office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in relevant fields required.
• At least 3 years of experience in P&C insurance actuarial/underwriting/risk management.
• Four CAS actuarial exams required.
• Preferred: CAS Exam 5 or ACAS.
• Preferred: Experience in General Liability and/or E&S.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance actuarial analyses, tools, and models for pricing and underwriting.
• Support rate indication analyses to inform profitability and business objectives.
• Maintain and update complex rating plans.
• Collaborate with Underwriting and IT to implement rating logic in policy systems.
• Monitor renewal rate changes and prepare reports for rate targets.
• Work with Data/Analytics to provide insights to underwriters and leadership.
• Support reinsurance renewals and annual planning process.
• Use Excel, SQL, and Python to analyze data and improve data quality.
• Create and maintain documentation per CAS Code of Professional Conduct.
