Job summary

IFG Companies is seeking an experienced Risk Management Actuary to advance its enterprise risk management and underwriting decisions. The role emphasizes portfolio risk evaluation, pricing adequacy, reinsurance support and financial risk analysis within a collaborative, cross-functional team.

The ideal candidate will be technically strong, capable of translating complex data into actionable insights and delivering well-documented analyses to inform sound pricing decisions and capital management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in insurance, risk management, economics, actuarial science or related fields.
• At least 10 years of experience in Property & Casualty insurance, preferably with a U.S. commercial insurer, with catastrophe modeling or reinsurance exposure.
• Fellow of the Casualty Actuarial Society (FCAS).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and validate reinsurance data packages for treaty placements.
• Support reinsurance renewal efforts with data requests and analyses.
• Evaluate reinsurance structures, retentions and limits through financial and risk analyses.
• Analyze portfolio risk, premium adequacy, loss drivers and concentration exposures for ERM.
• Provide analytical support for internal and external reporting, including regulatory requests.
• Conduct pricing and rate indication analyses to support profitability.
• Collaborate with underwriting and pricing to assess rating structures and trends.
• Monitor portfolio performance and renewal rate changes.
• Design analytical tools, dashboards and process improvements for risk monitoring.
