Job summary

Blue Cross NC is seeking a Senior Actuarial Analyst in Pharmacy Medical Economics to shape our pharmacy strategy. You will collaborate across teams, turn data into insights, and support a range of actuarial functions to drive informed business decisions.

You will monitor pharmacy profitability, support corporate initiatives, and engage in pricing research and advanced analytics within a Hybrid Flex/Remote Flex environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or advanced degree required.
• 4+ years of actuarial experience.
• Completed 5 or more actuarial exams toward ASA.

Responsibilities

• Supports pharmacy trend and hot spot analysis.
• Evaluates moderately complex trend analysis.
• Monitors and forecasts pharmacy profitability.
• Provides actuarial support for corporate pharmacy initiatives.
• Performs pricing research projects, including experience and trend analyses, book of business studies, vendor analyses.
• Monitors industry news and ensures the company is competitively well-positioned in a dynamic marketplace.
• Proactively reviews advanced data analytic methods and identifies opportunities to improve team processes.
• Participates in requirements gathering for and serves as delegate or backup for corporate projects. Generates ideas and analytical approaches for Departmental projects.
• Plans, implements, manages and/or contributes to projects that are moderate/high complexity.
• Is a participant in good standing in the Actuarial Development Program.
