Job summary

AgeMaine is seeking at least a part-time to full-time Recreation Assistant for our Adult Day Program in Portland, ME. The role involves leading activities for adults with dementia, assisting with daily living, and maintaining care documentation. Travel to Biddeford or Springvale may be required for full-time staff.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; CRMA preferred. Compensation includes an hourly rate of $20.50 with prorated benefits based on hours worked.

Qualifications

• Experience with people living with dementia or cognitive impairments preferred.
• CRMA certification is a plus and may affect compensation.
• Strong writing and computer skills to document activities and care plans.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality programming using the monthly calendar.
• Lead activities for members, including small groups and individual sessions.
• Assist with activities of daily living while promoting independence.
• Maintain accurate documentation and communicate with caregivers.
• Support care plan development and track referrals and reporting.
